| Laverne Fire - 14 May 2005 |
All of Lansdowne's equipment was out of service on the multi alarm B. Green fire except Medic 365 which had just returned from the fire. Orchard Beach, the fill-in company, was pulling up the street from handling another incident for Lansdowne when Lansdowne members heard screams and discovered a fire in the next block of LaVerne Avenue. Orchard Beach dropped about 100' of 3" line from the hydrant at Washington and LaVerne. Members of Lansdowne assisted Orchard Beach in getting two hand lines in service.
The fire reportedly started while refueling a gasoline generator. Quick action by all involved prevented the fire from spreading into the structure.
The left side and porch area is involved. |
