Overnight 4 Brothers of the DCFD were involved in a Single Family Dwelling doing what they do best when there was a partial collapse of the roof pinning firefighters beneath it. 4 firefighters were injured severely and transported to hospitals. The RIT Team was activated immediately according to the news to rescue those whom were unable to self extricate themsleves.
We wish our brothers a speedy recovery!!

Thursday, April 7, 2011 1530 hrs
Engine Company 361 and 362 along with the Utilities respond with other Southwest area companies on the "Fully Involved Dwelling" on Century Ave. E371 on scene first with a dwelling 100% involved with neighboring exposures starting to burn. Crews went defensive and quickly got water on the exposures. Units operated for about 2 hours......

Engine Co. 362 and IV 365 alerted to assists units on scene from Company 37/ Medic 355 for a subject shot in the area of Songbird Circle, Box area 37-3. Units arrived to find one subject DOA on scene secondary to a Gunshot. Police are actively investigating!

The Monday Night Crew takes in the suspicious Auto Fire shortly before midnight, Engine Co. 362 arrived on scene of a auto fire at Bigley Ave and Charleston Ave, Police on the scene had just informed us they had just locked up the occupants 3 hours prior. FID was requested for some suspicious findings and unit cleared within the hour.
