Saturday, August 28, 2010 0700 hrs The Men of Engine Company 36 would like to thank Chief Kaszak for his tenure as Chief as he moves on to Greener Pastures in life. Chief Kaszak rendered his resignation effective this morning and has named Assistant Chief Doug "Puppy" Brinkley as his successor to carry on the Pride and Tradition of over a 100 years this Company has demonstrated!!
Friday, August 27, 2010 1000 hrs Engine Co. 36 backs up another Company on I 95 NB @ 695 for reports of a Single Vehicle MVC w/ Rollover to arrive with exactly that. E362 arrived first on scene with vehicle that rolled 5 times with 1 patient to the Trauma Center.
Saturday, August 21, 2010 Asst. Chief Blizzard rolling in the Utility on a detail comes across a Single Vehicle MVC with one trapped at Hollinsferry and Hammondsferry Roads. Units responded and rescue crews quickly extricated the patient and was transported to local trauma center. On scene was Engine 362, Untility 367, Truck 5 and Medic 5 with EMS2.
Tuesday, August 17, 2010 Engine 361 responds for the report of a Building Fire in the 4500 Blk of Annapolis Rd. Co.37 arrived on the scene with Fire showing from the roof of a plastic manufacturing plant. Engine 372 had the command and our Chief Brinkley had Safety, the fire was brought under control rather quickly with some extensive overhaul needed. Units on scene were, E371,371,361,5,4,41,341,351,AACO311, Truck 5, BWI Tow43,BC22
The Lansdowne Volunteers would like to send out their heartfelt condolences to the Chicago FD and the family of Brother Christopher Wheatley, Truck Comany #2. FF Wheatley died while operating at a fire on W. Randolph in the West Loop early Monday morning.

Tuesday, July 6, 2010 Engine 362 was alerted at 10pm last night for reports of a dwelling in the 4400 blk of Poplar Rd., Box 5-5. Engine and Truck 5 arrived with a 1 1/2 story single family "Fully Involved" with possible reports of someone unaccounted for. Engine 362 took the rear on arrival and stretched a blitz line and went to work. The all clear was given later into the incident and the fire was brought under control within a hour. A special shout out to the "pigtails" who did an aggressive job stretching the line and keeping the Lansdowne tradition alive while the other men stood by and evaluated apparently. This would be FF Fabian's first JOB since her fire training!!!!
Sunday, July 4, 2010 0530 hours Engine Co.36 alerted first thing in the morning for a Police stand by detail to arrive and find Riverview Elementary School loaded with County Police Tactical Team and the Helo landing...... A gunman had pinned himself up in house in the 3000 Blk of Bero Rd. for hours til the Police could talk him down. Units all cleared without incident, now on to the celebrations!!
