E-362 Takes a 32-81 Roll Over

Friday, February 1, 2013  E-362 was alerted to assist AA Co with a reported 1050PI on Rt. 295 in the north bound lanes.  upon arrival crews found that a van had run off the road into a tree.  This had caused the van to also roll over.  Crews from E-362 worked along side crews from AA Co E-321.

     



 

Passing Of Life Member Mike Welden

Friday, February 1, 2013  It is with deep regret and heavy hearts to announce the passing of life member Mike Welden.  Mr. Welden joined the company in December of 1975.  He had served as the President, Board Member, Chairman of the Board and Fire Captain of our department. Mr. Welden was also one of the original group of members trained to run the air unit when it was first placed in service in the late 80"s. He will be missed by many and his crab soup will be too.  God Speed and Rest Easy Brother.

   


 

1050PI Shuts Down I695

Thursday, January 31, 2013  Station 36 was alerted for a report of a 1050Pi on the inner loop of I695.  upon arrival crews found a Multi car accident.  Crews had a part of 695 shut down for safety reasons.  There was a total of 6 cars involved wit multiable patients.

     



 

First Due Dwelling Fire

Sunday, January 27, 2013 1544 Just a few minute before 4 in the afternoon Co 36 was alerted for a report of a dwelling fire.  This had units E361, E362, and U367 from Lansdowne responding.  Upon arrival crews from E-361 found a 2 story middle of the group with " Smoke Showing" from the first floor.  Crews quickly advanced hand lines and went to work finding a fire in the kitchen.  Crews extinguished the fire and checked for hot spots.  Crews from neighboring companys vented, searched, and secured the utilitys. 

     



 

Grandpapy Pete

Monday, January 14, 2013  The officers and members would like to give a big congratulations to Pete Abiera.  Doc Pete as we know him as became a proud new grandfather of a baby girl monday.  Mom and baby are doing fine.  So congrats to all!!! 

   


 

Another Transfer

Friday, January 11, 2013  Well yet again station 36 was called upon for a transfer to station 2 Pikesville station.  This was due to a working fire in station 19's area.  While E-361 was sitting at station 2 E-362 was back in station with a crew.  E-361 was at station 2 for several hours with one call while E-362 had 2 in Lansdowne's first due.  E-361 had made it back just after 3am.

   


 

1050PI Rollover with HAZMAT

Wednesday, January 9, 2013 2205 E361 was alerted for a report of a 1050PI with rollover.  Units arrived to find a tractor trailer turn on its side resting agenst a jersey wall.   After assessment crew on seen found that the tractor was leaking a large amount of deisel.  Units from B.Co. HazMat team along with MDE was called.  About 150-200 gallons leaked.

E361 On The Move

E361 had a busy weekend with transfers.  Friday night E361 transfered to AACO sta 33 due to a Fire in station 18's area.    Early Saturday morning E361 yet again on the move to BCo station 4 due to a fire in station 13's area.  Then yet again Sunday afternoon to AACO station 32 due to another fire.  Here is a picture on a call friday night on B&A Blvd.

   


 

First Due Dwelling Fire

Thursday, January 3, 2013 0947 Station 36 was alerted for a report of a dwelling fire at 2405 Saratoga Ave in company 36's first due.  E362 quickly arrived to find a single story home with smoke showing.  Crews pulled a 1 3/4 handline for extingishment.  crews had found that there was fire in the eiling due to a shorted ceiling fan.  Once the fire was in check the assignment was scaled back to company 36 and 5.  M365 was also on location to assist with any EMS issues.
