 <![CDATA[This afternoon shortly after our brothers from PA&nbsp;arrived for the weekend a box assignment was struck out for reports of a dwelling fire at 538 5th Ave., Box Area 36-2. E 361 and Utility 367 which was already on the road&nbsp;responded, the Engine arrived on scene with smoke showing from a 2 story MOG rowhome. Crews from 36 stretched&nbsp; 2-&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;1 3/4 lines and knocked a second floor bedroom fire. Police Arson was requested for cause determination....]]>

 <![CDATA[The Lansdowne VFD would like to thank and congratulate Bernie &amp;quot;Flash&amp;quot; Smith whom decided to hang up his helmet for the last time and retire from riding after providing fire supression services to the citizens of the&nbsp;Southwest area of Baltimore County for over 60+ years. 
Bernie has served the Lansdowne VFD in various positions starting as a junior officer and rising to the Rank of Chief. He had served as Asst Chief for so long under Chief&nbsp;Don Mooney he was bestowed the title of &amp;quot;Asst. Chief Emeritus&amp;quot; He has also served in administrative&nbsp;roles such as President and Board of Directors.

Box area 36-2 was struck out last night for reports of an Apartment Fire at 2938 Lakebrook Circle, the men of Engine Co. 362 banged right out the door and was updated by dispatch while enroute, it was&nbsp;reported to be a&nbsp; grease fire in the kitchen rapidly spreading and occupants were evacuating the apartment. E-362 arrived side Alpha with "smoke showing" and quickly stretched an 1 3/4 handline to find a working kitchen fire on Division 2. Crews made quick work of it and overhauled and were out for about a hour....]]>

 <![CDATA[T he Lansdowne VFD would like everyone to meet our guest for the night. Meet Mac McQuown a Marine on a mission across the Country. Mac McQuown is a 50 year old&nbsp;&nbsp; Marine who served our fine Country from 1980 - 1985 and below is his story....On
 September 11th&nbsp;2011 I departed from Stafford Virginia&nbsp;and I am &nbsp;walking
 to the Capital&nbsp;all 50&nbsp;States. A&nbsp;distance of more then 15,OOO Miles and 
will take me at least&nbsp;5 years to complete. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;REASON FOR MY EPIC JOURNEY &nbsp;1) To raise both awareness and funds for All Our Nations Brave and selfless
 wounded &amp;amp; homeless Veterans. Male &amp;amp; Female , Young and old , 
from both past &amp;amp; current conflicts. Assuring that we shall never 
ever forget the sacrifices Our Brave Heroes have paid. Last but of
